In the typical process plant it is necessary to interface the plant’s building automation systems to the plant controls via the ControlLogic platform. FieldServer Technologies SlotServer enables the integrator to interface most common building automation systems easily without the need for an external gateway.

BACnet is the most common building-wide control network utilized by major building automation system (BAS) manufacturers including Alerton, Johnson Controls, Automated Logic, Siemens, Delta Controls, Trane, Honeywell and others. BACnet is available in RS-232 (BACnet PTP), RS-485 (BACnet MS/TP), dedicated Ethernet link (BACnet Ethernet) and TCP Ethernet (BACnet IP). FieldServer has the drivers for any of these BACnet interfaces. FieldServer has extensive experience in the building automation market working with a wide range of integrators and manufacturers.

The extensive FieldServer library can also provide such a wide range of interfaces from systems/devices using Allen Bradley protocol to the devices and networks used in building automation systems using FieldServer gateways.
