-- Interoperability for Savings in Higher Education!
FieldServer Technologies provides you with the perfect,
vendor independent solution to meet your
interoperability requirements campus wide by enabling
the seamless interface of data from your existing or new
automation systems to fire panels, lighting controls,
boiler controls, air conditioners, HVAC, energy systems,
PLCs and more. The FieldServer gateway lets you take
advantage of the same gateway technology installed in
thousands of building automation applications worldwide.
As you know, most of your installed systems and
equipment talk different protocols, can not communicate
with each other and the consideration of replacing these
existing systems is never cost justified.
The FieldServer solution has already been put to use on
several University campuses and are providing
significant cost savings by not having to replace
existing systems yet they deliver the significant
benefits of integration at an affordable price.

Tip - Connecting FieldServer EtherNet/IP with a
"Logix" PLC
The new FieldServer EtherNet/IP driver has provided many
users with the needed interface from legacy devices to
EtherNet/IP networks found in many industrial plants.
Allen Bradley is the largest manufacturer of
programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in the world and
EtherNet/IP is a widely used protocol used on Allen
Bradley ControlLogix PLCs. Even in the building
automation industry many devices using Allen Bradley
PLCs need to interface from EtherNet/IP to other
protocols. The FieldServer EtherNet/IP driver has passed
conformance testing by ODVA, the organization managing
EtherNet/IP.
A new Enote details how to configure and connect a
FieldServer EtherNet/IP gateway with a "Logix"
PLC.
