The new FieldServer EtherNet/IP driver has provided many users with the needed interface from legacy devices to EtherNet/IP networks found in many industrial plants. Allen Bradley is the largest manufacturer of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in the world and EtherNet/IP is a widely used protocol used on Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLCs. Even in the building automation industry many devices using Allen Bradley PLCs need to interface from EtherNet/IP to other protocols. The FieldServer EtherNet/IP driver has passed conformance testing by ODVA, the organization managing EtherNet/IP.
